BOIL ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
FROM OUTVILLE ROAD WEST TO YORK ROAD WHICH INCLUDES
ELLINGTON VILLAGE, ELLINGTON CONDOS, ZACHARY DRIVE AND ASHCRAFT DRIVE
THIS ADVISORY WILL BE IN EFFECT BEGINNING FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. ALL WATER USED FOR COOKING, CONSUMPTION OR FIRST AID SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO A FULL ROLLING BOIL FOR 1-3 MINUTES PRIOR TO USE.
WATER SAMPLES WILL BE SENT TO AN INDEPENDENT LABORATORY FOR TESTING - THIS PROCESS REQUIRES 30 HOURS. AS SOON AS WATER SAMPLES PASS INSPECTION, THE DISTRICT WILL UPDATE THIS SITE AND THE NEWS OUTLETS (RADIO, TV, NEWSPAPER).
CUSTOMERS IN THE SURROUNDING AREA, NOT AFFECTED BY THE BOIL ADVISORY, MAY EXPERIENCE DISCOLORED WATER. YOUR WATER IS SAFE TO USE, HOWEVER LAUNDRY SHOULD BE AVOIDED UNTIL THE WATER CLEARS.

SIGNS WILL ALSO BE POSTED IN THE BOIL ADVISORY AREA AS WELL AS A PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT SENT TO LOCAL RADIO STATIONS.
The District will be smoke testing sanitary sewer lines again on
September 23rd, 24th, and 25th,
in the following areas:
SR16 / Broad Street from Summit Road to Daley Road
~ including the school complex on Summit Road, North of SR16
AT&T complex, North of SR16
Brooksedge Subdivision, East and West of Taylor Road
Taylor Glen Subdivision, East and West of Taylor Road
Residents within the test area will be notified in advance ~
District Inspectors will hand deliver informational doorhangers
beginning Monday, September 15th.
Street signs will be placed in and around the test area on test days
advising passing motorists that a smoke test is in progress.
Residents within the test area may see smoke
coming from building vents or the ground during the test.
Do not be alarmed.
This smoke has no odor, is non-toxic, does not represent a fire hazard,
and will dissipate in a few minutes.
Prior to the test, pour water into floor drains and any unused sinks
to seal the drain traps and prevent smoke from entering your building through the drain.
